Unparalleled
temperature control - without a water bath. The PTR range
of refractometers has been engineered for high accuracy, excellent
temperature stability, reliability, and ease of use. The temperature
range is controlled electronically using a Peltier cell, removing
need for an external thermocirculator; resulting in significant
cost, space, and energy savings. For higher accuracy see the
PTR 2X.
All PTR
refractometers are supplied with a hinged cover, which insulates
the sample and excludes ambient light. Optionally, the PTR
can be supplied with various cells that have been designed
to provide rapid, convenient semi-automatic or automatic sampling
while maintaining analytical accuracy and thermal stability.
An optional
funnel/flow cell is available. This model is perfect for all
samples that easily pass through a 5.5mm bore tube. Its hinged
locking mechanism for easy cleaning is another advantage.
Just right for volatile samples or samples that are undesirable
to handle. Can be filled using a small volume syringe or use
the GPR 12-70 with an AutoSampler and Index Pump 300 peristaltic
pump.
Sample
quantity required depends on the sample: about 10 ml to 20ml
for flushing. Static volume approximately 3.5ml including
immediate piping.
An optional
funnel cell is available. This cell is exceptionally useful
for situations where a large number of similar samples have
to be measured. This cell is designed to ensure complete rapid
flushing.
