Offers
high quality, high accuracy, high reliability, clear digital
display, flexibility of use, plus detailed GLP traceability
of results. It's all metal construction is based on a incredibly
stable aluminum casing with metal covers. The principle of
measurement used in the PolAAr 3 series was patented by Optical
Activity, Ltd. in 1976, and the original advanced design,
which won a Queen's Award for Technology Achievement, has
been refined by Optical Activity through many years of experience
in polarimetry.
All models
in the PolAAr 3 series accept the full range of activity polarimeter
sample tubes and cells from 1.5mm to 8mm bore, from 5mm to
200mm path length, jacketed or unjacketed. The sample compartment
is ventilated to minimize temperature rise above ambient.
For the most accurate temperature control, jacketed sample
tubes are available for temperature control from a thermocirculator.
These tubes are available with built in temperature sensors
to accurately monitor sample temperature. A dip-in thermometer
is available for use with single sample tubes.
The difference
between the PolAAr 31 and the PolAAr 3001 is the resolution.
The PolAAr 3001 is our highest accuracy model. It reads to
0.001 angular degrees of optical rotation and displays results
within 25 seconds. When connected to an Index Instruments
refractometer the PolAAr 3001 combine the ISS and Brix readings
and calculate and display apparent sugar purity.
