In response
to customer requests, Index Instruments has developed two
additional sample cells for the TCR 15-30 refractometer -
the world's most advanced refractometer. These two accessories
are designed to allow rapid, convenient, sampling while maintaining
analytical accuracy and thermal stability. In order to achieve
the very high accuracy of the TCR 15-30, and to save time
we recommend that samples should, wherever possible, be brought
close to the temperature at which you wish to make the measurement.

Injection
Cell
|
This
cell is designed for use where the sample is to
be applied using either a small syringe or by pumping.
A peristaltic pump is entirely suitable for this
purpose. The sample tubes have an internal diameter
of 1.6mm and are suitable for any fluid, which will
flow easily through this diameter. Positive pressure
from the sampling device gives fast, effective flushing
of the sample. If successive measurements are to
be made with samples of differing types, then we
recommend that the cell is flushed through with
an appropriate solvent between each sample.

Funnel
Cell

This
cell is very useful for situations where a large
number of samples need to be handled without the
sample cover being lifted between measurements.
The funnel and syphon arrangement ensure complete
rapid flushing between samples. As each sample is
displaced, it is flushed into a waste container
which can be situated either at bench height or
on the floor without any effect on the quality of
the measurements.

Normally,
the cells are supplied fitted and aligned to the TCR 15-30,
but if supplied separately, fitting is simple and instructions
are provided with the unit.
