Automation
Two RS232 sockets on the rear of the instrument allow communication
between the PTR, computer and printer. All PTR models can
accept BAR CODE SCANNERS via a separate socket, which can
also provide remote operation or integration into an automatic
sampling.

Hinged

All
PTR series refractometers are supplied with a hinged
sample cover, which insulates the sample and excludes
ambient light. Optionally, the PTR can be supplied
with various cells that have been designed to provide
rapid, convenient semi-automatic or automatic sampling
while maintaining analytical accuracy and thermal
stability. |

Injection/Flow
Cell

Either
fill with a small volume syringe, (useful for volatile
samples or samples that may be undesirable to handle),
or connect to a pump. The tubes have an internal
diameter of 1.6mm and are suitable for any fluid
that can flow easily through this size of pipe.
Using a syringe, positive pressure provides fast
effective flushing. As a flow cell, it is ideal
for use with an AUTOSAMPLER and IndexPump 300 peristaltic
pump. |

Funnel
Cell

This
cell is very useful for situations where a large
number of similar samples have to be measured. The
cover is not lifted between measurements, and the
funnel and syphon breaker arrangement ensures complete
rapid flushing. |
