Index Instruments, Ltd. and Optical Activity Ltd. is the same

are dealing with part of the company that manufactures the
range of high quality polarimeters and refractometers for
which Optical Activity Ltd. and Index Instruments Ltd. are
world famous.
Optical
Activity Ltd. has been making polarimeters since 1975
and offers a wealth of experience in this specialized field
of scientific instrumentation. The instruments are designed,
assembled, calibrated and tested on the Optical Activity premises
located in rural Cambridgeshire, England. They are then dispatched
to our office in Florida for rechecking before onward dispatch
to our American customers. All Optical Activity polarimeters
are designed with simplicity of use in the forefront; even
our programmable models, once set up, can have no operator
controls for routine work, and unskilled personnel can obtain
accurate results, freeing qualified technicians or chemists
for other work. Training time is minimized and maintenance
costs are very low.
Optical
Activity polarimeters can be found in laboratories and factories
around the world, in places as far apart as Mexico and Japan,
Australia and Canada. Optical Activity is a field leader in
automatic polarimetry and many companies that are household
names, especially in the sugar and pharmaceutical industries,
have been using their instruments for many years.
You can
select a polarimeter from Optical Activity's wide range of
models with confidence; we take pride in the instruments they
produce and in maintaining their reputation for both quality
and reliability. The Optical Activity Quality Control Laboratory
is a UKAS* accredited laboratory for polarimeter calibration
and your polarimeter can be supplied with a UKAS calibration
certificate if required.

is based on the same site in rural Cambridgeshire, England
as Optical Activity Ltd. and takes equal pride in producing
instruments of a high quality and reliability.

Instruments has been designing and making refractometers since
1982 and are leaders in the field of automated refractometry.
The staff have many years of experience in both the design
and use of refractometers. Close contact with customers ensures
that user requirements are taken into consideration in future
product developments.

widely diverse substances; jams/jellies/candies, crude oil,
sugars, edible oils, plastics, beers, adhesives, fruit juices,
to mention just some of the products quality controlled by
Index refractometers. The instruments are exported worldwide.
Specialized
products for the measurement of sugar color analysis and others
are also produced by Index Instruments Ltd.
The opening of the Index Instruments U.S., Inc., premises
in Central Florida in 1990 ensured that a high level of sales
information and after sales service became available to U.S.,
Canada and Central American customers.
